KNUTD SIGNED A MEMORANDUM OF COOPERATION WITH UKRNIOIVI AND JOINED THE TISC NETWORK

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design continues to develop its own innovation ecosystem.

On October 30, 2025, the University hosted the signing of a Memorandum of Cooperation with the State Enterprise Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute (UKRNIOIVI) and the official opening of the Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC).

The purpose of signing the Memorandum is to unite efforts in the development of innovation and project activities, commercialization of research results, promotion of intellectual property culture, and creation of an effective mechanism to support innovators, researchers, and entrepreneurs.

 

Participants of the event included:

  • Oleksandra Olshanska, Acting Rector of KNUTD, who emphasized that the establishment of the TISC Center at KNUTD is an important step toward integrating science, education, and business, as well as fostering a culture of innovative thinking among students and researchers;
  • Ihor Parenchuk, Deputy Director of the State Enterprise Ukrainian Intellectual Property Institute (UKRNIOIVI), who in his welcome speech highlighted the importance of the TISC network as a key element of Ukraine’s innovation infrastructure;
  • Liubov Maidanyk, Deputy Director of UKRNIOIVI, who stressed the role of universities in shaping an innovation-driven environment and promoting intellectual property awareness among youth;
  • Karolina Kravchuk, Deputy Head of the Department for the Development of the TISC Network of the Innovation Development Directorate at UKRNIOIVI, representative of the TISC network, who presented the network’s activities and its prospects for expansion.

The Technology and Innovation Support Center (TISC) at KNUTD will serve as a platform for providing consulting, informational, and educational support to researchers, faculty, students, inventors, and entrepreneurs.

Representatives of the Office for International and Project Activities and the Department of Information Support and Technology Transfer of KNUTD also participated in the event. They will coordinate joint initiatives within the framework of the TISC’s activities.

The opening of the Technology and Innovation Support Center marked another step for KNUTD toward strengthening the University’s position as an innovative and technological leader in Ukraine’s educational landscape, focused on developing the creative economy and enhancing the country’s competitiveness.enhancing the country’s competitiveness.

The cooperation between KNUTD and UKRNIOIVI opens new opportunities for enhancing the University’s innovation potential and strengthening Ukraine’s position in the field of intellectual property.
