On October 29, 2025, the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design held a solemn announcement of the winner and awarding of participants in the competition for a personal scholarship from the pharmaceutical company Farmak, the leader of the pharmaceutical industry in Ukraine. This is the third year in a row that the company has been providing financial support to talented students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy for their high achievements in education and scientific activity. To support their students and celebrate the achievements of young people, the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD joined the event.

At the beginning of the event, Mykhailo KULYNIAK, the first vice-rector of KNUTD, delivered a solemn speech. He emphasized the importance of synergy between education and business for training highly qualified personnel, emphasized the significance of the university's long-term cooperation with Farmak, and expressed gratitude to its specialists for their constant support of student youth.

Next, the floor was given to Iryna VOSKRES, Head of Recruitment and Adaptation Department of Farmak. In her speech, she emphasized the high value of the fruitful and effective cooperation of the company with the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, which trains competent and competitive specialists for the pharmaceutical industry. Ms. Iryna emphasized that Farmak constantly strives to support talented youth, since it is in the development of purposeful specialists that the company sees the key to the proper formation of the future of the industry. The personal scholarship is an important step in this direction, as it helps stimulate academic achievements, professional growth and self-improvement of higher education applicants. It was separately noted that students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of KNUTD consistently demonstrate a high level of knowledge, initiative and active participation in research work. Thanks to this, they annually represent the University and their department with dignity.

Viktoriia MATAT, a Brand Development Expert of Farmak, spoke about the features of the competitive selection and evaluation criteria. She emphasized that to select the winner, the commission took into account not only high academic performance, but also scientific achievements, active participation in conferences and competitions, publication activity, as well as personal motivation and potential of students.

According to the results of the competition, among many applicants from the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, Olha SYVIUK won. She studies at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the KNUTD in two educational and professional programs of the master's level of higher education “European Cosmeceutics” and “Industrial Pharmacy”. In addition, Olha works as a laboratory assistant at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, participates in the implementation of state-funded and initiative research works, and is also an active participant in the student scientific circles “Pharmtechnologist” (scientific supervisor Volodymyr BESSARABOV, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy) and “Pharmacon” (scientific supervisor Galyna KUZMINA, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy). Olha diligently participates in conferences and seminars, studies and develops, so all her achievements were highly appreciated by the commission of specialists of the pharmaceutical company.

Iryna VOSKRES expressed her admiration for the winner's achievements and presented her with a well-deserved award – a certificate for a personalized scholarship for the 2025-2026 academic year. All other contestants received incentive prizes from the pharmaceutical company.

The congratulatory remarks were made by Tetiana DERKACH, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies, and Volodymyr BESSARABOV, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy.

The staff of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy sincerely congratulates Olha Olha SYVIUK on her well-deserved achievement, which is a recognition of her hard work, and wishes her further success in her studies and new achievements in her professional activities.
