On November 4, 2025, a key working meeting of the Council of Young Scientists under the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine took place, focusing on the “Movement to Recognize Russia’s Actions Against Ukraine as Genocide of the Ukrainian People”. The meeting summarized already implemented initiatives and outlined crucial directions for future work, including the preparation of the next event within the lecture cycle “Remember Who We Are” and the creation of a “Compilation of Key Sources” (in Ukrainian and English) aimed at studying foreign practices for countering genocide. Furthermore, a specific area of focus was designated for developing a community survey to assess public perception of the genocide issue and enhance public awareness. Concurrently, at the Festival of Youth Science, Denys Kocherzhuk, Deputy Dean for Scientific and Pedagogical Work at the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries of KNUTD, delivered a presentation. Its core thesis posited that sound recording constitutes a potent driving force, functioning not merely as an aesthetic phenomenon but also as a factor, which is educative, national-cultural, and inherently protest-oriented, thus fostering civic engagement and effectively counteracting the genocide of the Ukrainian people perpetrated by the Russian Federation. The speaker further outlined the activities of the working group dedicated to genocide counteraction, underscored the significance of adopting a cultural approach to the study of this challenge, and presented research materials pertinent to the event’s theme, notably: “Creation of Virtual Museums of Ukrainian Audio culture: Concept, Prospects, and Practical Aspects of Implementation”. This work compiled analytical, educational, and artistic content aimed at the preservation of historical memory, the affirmation of truth, and the advancement of international dialogue to amplify Ukraine’s presence on the global stage.

The atmosphere during the meeting was characterized by inspiration, a willingness to collaborate, and scholarly pursuit. Such initiatives are instrumental in cultivating a youth scientific community, reinforcing communication among scholars from diverse coures, and promoting the popularization of science within Ukraine.
