On November 5, 2025, a significant cultural and scholarly event was held at the Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine (VNLU). It was dedicated to the 1000th anniversary of the commemoration of the Byzantine Emperor Basil II Porphyrogenites. The program was meticulously organized through the collaborative efforts of the “Sophia of Kyiv” National Reserve, the Parajanov Museum of the Kyiv International University, and Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design. This collaboration is designed to establish a vital platform for the profound exploration of the millennial historical and cultural ties between Ukraine and Armenia. The opening of the event, which included a welcoming address and the inauguration of an exhibition, featured a concert performance by the academic staff and students majoring in the B6 “Performative Arts” program within the Department of Stage Art and Culture at the Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries.

The symposium was characterized by a dense scientific and creative agenda, which encompassed the formal presentation of printed publications, curated artistic exhibitions, and a dedicated cinematographic review.
