PUBLIC LECTURE BY HEAD OF THE DEPARTMENT ALLA SEMENOVA: “PSYCHOPEDAGOGY OF KINDNESS THROUGH THE PRISM OF EDUCATION QUALITY”

On October 21, 2025, the head of the department, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor Alla Semenova, presented an open lecture entitled “Psychopedagogy of Kindness through the Prism of Education Quality”.

The event brought together students from all academic years and became not only an educational experience but also a sincere conversation about the essence of humane education and its mission in shaping spiritually mature, responsible, and happy individuals.

During the lecture, Alla Semenova presented a clearly structured plan covering the key areas of contemporary pedagogical thought:

-      Quality in Higher Education and the Competency-Based System

-      The Student-Centered Paradigm in Higher Education

-      The Essence of Psychopedagogy

-      The System of Self-Development

The professor emphasized that the quality of education cannot be measured solely by indicators or rankings; its true value lies in the ability to cultivate an inner culture of kindness, empathy, respect, and a willingness toward self-development.

According to Alla Vasylivna, psychopedagogy is not merely a new scientific field but a life philosophy of the teacher – one who creates an atmosphere of trust, inspiration, and humanity around them.

The lecturer paid particular attention to the issue of student-centredness – a principle that requires flexibility and openness to dialogue from the teacher and conscious participation in one’s own learning from the student.

According to Professor Semenova, it is this interaction that shapes the modern model of higher education, at the heart of which is a personality capable of critical thinking, empathy and creative realisation.

In the final part of the meeting, Alla Vasylivna spoke about the system of self-development for future specialists, which combines professional, value-based and psychological components. She emphasised that the path to self-development begins with knowing oneself – one’s emotions, motives and goals – and continues through constant self-improvement, kindness and sincere attitude towards others.

The lecture aroused keen interest among students, who actively joined the discussion, sharing their own thoughts and experiences. For many, it became a motivational impetus to reflect on their own role in shaping the quality of education and understanding the teaching profession as a service to good.

The event took place in a warm and inspiring atmosphere, where everyone present felt that education is not only about knowledge, but above all about humanity, sincerity and spiritual growth.

The Department’s staff sincerely thanks Alla Semenova for a meaningful, profound and at the same time heartfelt dialogue, which once again reminded us that kindness is the true language of pedagogy.
