On November 12, 2025, Viktoriia Margasova and Nataliia Fastovets, representatives of the Office for International and Project Activities of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), took part in the information event “Research and Innovation as a Driver of Ukraine’s Integration into the Global Research Area”, organized by the National Research Foundation of Ukraine in cooperation with the European Commission.

The hybrid-format event brought together representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, the National Council for Science and Technology Development, the European Commission, the National Research Foundation of Ukraine, the Horizon Europe Office in Ukraine, Science Europe, the European Research Council (ERC), as well as leading scientists and university leaders from Ukraine and top European institutions.

Participants discussed current trends in Ukraine's integration into the European and global research areas, the synergy of European support programmes, and the funding instruments of the European Research Council for innovative projects. Particular attention was given to success stories of Ukrainian researchers implementing projects under EU grant programmes.

The event concluded with a networking session that provided opportunities for establishing new professional connections and sharing experiences in the field of international scientific cooperation.

The Office for International and Project Activities of KNUTD is consistently advancing the university’s participation in international initiatives and programmes aimed at Ukraine’s integration into the European research area, strengthening KNUTD’s reputation among leading universities engaged in innovative research and project implementation.
