As part of Adult Education Week 2025, traditionally organised by the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Pedagogical Sciences of Ukraine, lecturers from the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design took part in the First Scientific and Methodological Seminar “Adult Education: Scientific Research and Innovative Educational Practices”.

The event took place on 18 September 2025 and lasted more than three hours, bringing together educators, scientists and researchers working in the field of adult education.

Seminar participants discussed topical issues in adult education development in the context of contemporary challenges, innovative teaching methods, psychological support for learners, and the creation of a people-oriented educational environment.

During the seminar, leading scientific approaches to the development of educational programmes for adults, mechanisms for the implementation of flexible learning trajectories and the use of pedagogical design in professional training of specialists were presented.

The Department’s lecturers noted the high level of organisation of the event, the content of the research reports and the relevance of the practices presented, which will form the basis for further improvement of the educational process and the introduction of modern technologies in the training of future teachers and designers.

Thanks to its participation in the seminar, the Department strengthened its partnerships with colleagues from the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education and confirmed its active position in the development of adult education as a space for professional and personal growth.
