The next international academic online mobility project (Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL)) "THE GOOD LIFE WITH CLOTHES" has been completed, which brought together students and teachers of the Faculty of Design of the KNUTD (Ukraine), Texas State University, the University of Greensboro in North Carolina (USA), King Abdul Aziz University, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia).
The curators and instructors of the COIL project from the KNUTD were the teachers of the Department of Art and Fashion Design Iryna Davydenko, Associate Professor, Maryna Yatsenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design.
During September-November 2025, about 60 students of the educational programs "Fashion Design", "Graphic Design" and the educational and scientific program "Design" of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD participated in the academic mobility project "THE GOOD LIFE WITH CLOTHES", dedicated to the responsible consumption of clothing. Students completed tasks, conducted research in the field of sustainable fashion, studied materials on online resources, and communicated with each other in international teams to highlight the concepts of ecological production and use of clothing.
In total, 400 students from Ukraine, the USA and Saudi Arabia were involved in the international academic online mobility project. Communication between teachers and students from international teams took place on the Padlet platform and in messengers. The project promoted cultural exchange, uniting students and teachers from different countries for learning and creative communication.
The Department of Art and Fashion Design of the KNUTD has already successfully implemented an international academic online mobility project in 2024-2025 «Fashion for a Good Life», in which more than 20 students of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD participated. Also in 2025, the Faculty of Design implemented another COIL project with representatives of Birmingham City University (UK), School of the Art Institute of the University of Chicago (USA) «Global Live Project: A Portal Connecting Three Countries».
On November 7, 2025, coordinators from different countries of the world discussed the results of the implementation of the joint international project "THE GOOD LIFE WITH CLOTHES".
The discussion was attended by Dr. Cosette Joyner Martinez, project initiator, professor at Texas State University, Dr. Wijdan Tawfik, associate professor, head of the Department of Fashion and Textiles, Shadia Salem, professor of the Department of Fashion and Textiles, King Abdul Aziz University, Rana Alblovi, associate professor at Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University (Saudi Arabia), Dr. Olena Karpova, Putman and Hays Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (USA), as well as representatives from the KNTUD Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of Design, and teachers of the Department of Art and Costume Design Iryna Davydenko, associate professor, Maryna Yatsenko, Candidate of Technical Sciences, associate professor.
