KNUTD RESEARCHERS WIN IN THE 2025 COMPETITIVE SELECTION FOR THE INTERNATIONAL CREATIVE EUROPE PROJECTS

Kyiv National University of Technology and Design is proud to announce the successful completion of the competitive selection as part of the consortium within the framework of the international grant program Creative Europe 2025!

Researchers from the Faculty of Design of KNUTD, in cooperation with foreign partners, won the project application “Empowering Communities through Open Creative Solutions for Crisis Preparedness and Humanitarian Innovation” (OPEN RELIEF) within the framework of the Creative Europe program CREA-CULT-2025-COOP-1 – European Cooperation Projects (Small Scale).

The OPEN RELIEF project, which will run from 2026 to 2028, is aimed at the participatory development of products for rapid response in crisis situations and involves organizing international workshops with the participation of designers, artists, and planners, including people affected by crises and wars, for the digital development of rapid response products, which will then be distributed in the open access.

The team of participants from KNUTD: Danylo Kosenko, Candidate of Art Studies, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design - leader; Kalyna Pashkevych, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, Tetyana Bulgakova, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor, Oleksandra Shmelova-Nesterenko, Doctor of Philosophy, Associate Professor - executors.

The participants of the project consortium, in addition to KNUTD, are the cultural industry agencies IM industries (Croatia) and LATRA (Greece). The OPEN RELIEF project will use the experience of consortium participants in project management, organization of participatory design processes, and development of creative scalable open access design solutions.
