CAREER GUIDANCE WORK AT THE DEPARTMENT OF CHEMICAL TECHNOLOGIES AND RESOURCE SAVING

On November 19-20, 2025, a series of meetings were held with students of Grades 10-11 from School No. 70 in Kyiv. On November 19, Associate Professor of the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving of KNUTD, Iryna Liashok, spoke to the high school students about the specifics of preparing for the National Multi-Subject Test (NMT).

The participants received detailed information about the testing procedure and the organizational aspects future applicants need to consider. They also learned about admission requirements to Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, opportunities for obtaining relevant and in-demand specialities, as well as employment prospects after graduation.

On November 20, 2025, the Department of Chemical Technologies and Resource Saving of KNUTD welcomed students of Grades I-III from School No. 70 in Kyiv, accompanied by their class teacher, Liudmyla Gorai, to the University. Associate Professors Olena Kryukova and Olha Kyslova from our Department conducted an open lesson titled “Interesting Chemistry and 3D Technologies” for the high school students. The students were warmly greeted by Viktoria Plavan, Head of the Department, and Tetiana Derkach, Dean of the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies.

Particular interest was sparked by the Center for Collective Use of Scientific Equipment “Additive Manufacturing Technologies”. Professor Nadiia Sova introduced the students to the capabilities and technologies of 3D printing. As a pleasant surprise, the students received souvenirs newly created using 3D technologies. Taking advantage of the opportunity, the future applicants also visited the exhibition-demonstration of analytical equipment held within the framework of the International Conference “KyivLvivPharma-2025” and toured the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur.

This eventful day clearly demonstrated to the students the uniqueness of the educational programs offered by the Faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies, which provide wide opportunities for pursuing in-demand engineering and natural science specialities. At the end of the meeting, future graduates and their parents were invited to the Open Day, which will be held at KNUTD on November 29, 2025.
