On November 15, 2025, the Ivan Franko Central District Library in Kyiv opened an international Ukrainian-Azerbaijani exhibition of painting, design, and fashion entitled “Kaleidoscope of Colors”. The exhibition brought together artists and designers from Ukraine and Azerbaijan, presenting contemporary art, decorative accessories, and design solutions.
The event was held with the participation of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design in close cooperation with Azerbaijani masters. The team of co-organizers included Natalia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion. On the Azerbaijani side, Ayla Rajabova, a member of the Union of Artists, as well as Bekali Mursalov, Yulia Mursalova, Samira Hajieva, and Sabina Babenko worked on the formation of the exhibition.
The exhibition aims to become a platform for cultural dialogue, using art to highlight the deep ties between Ukraine and Azerbaijan. Our nations share historical parallels: both have fought for independence, preserved their culture despite numerous challenges, and always strived for freedom. Ukrainians and Azerbaijanis are known for their resilience, dignity, and respect for their historical heritage. We are also united by cultural and social traits – a love of music and poetry, respect for family traditions, hospitality, and deep spiritual meaning in creativity. The presented works of art convey the warmth of the native land, strength of character, and desire for peace.
Representatives of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion joined the art program: Tetiana Dzykovych, Liudmyla Halavska, Tymofii Lypskyi, Alla Semenova, Inna Kosyak, Alla Kolodyazhna, Halyna Oliinyk, Yana Mamchenko, Svitlana Lozovenko, Tetiana Makhinya, and Oleksandra Protsko, who, together with students, will present a contemporary interpretation of traditional motifs. The exhibition features paintings, jewelry, textiles, footwear, and other creative works that combine tradition with a contemporary vision.

We sincerely thank Yulia Mursalova, Iryna Svergun, Alla Osadcha, Oleksandr Vasilyev, and Mykola Svergun for their inspired work, organization, and creation of a space where art unites cultures and people!
