On 12 November 2025, representatives of the Department met with the heads of the Institute to discuss the educational programme “Nano- and Microtechnologies in Creative Design” and prospects for cooperation between G. V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Department of Applied Physics and Higher Mathematics. The Director of the Institute, Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Valentin Andriyovych Tatarenk, and Deputy Director for Scientific and Technical Work, PhD in Physics and Mathematics Vitaliy Bevz, Deputy Director for Scientific and Technical Work, PhD in Physics and Mathematics, spoke about the possibilities of involving students majoring in E6 “Applied Physics and Nanomaterials” in research work at the Institute.

Representatives of the scientific community outlined possible areas of cooperation between the Institute of Metal Physics and the University’s students and scientists. The meeting was joined by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor Ihor Panasiuk, and the Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, PhD, Associate Professor Oleksiy Volianyk.

During the discussion of the educational programme, the stakeholders drew attention to the high demand for training experts capable of solving specialised practical problems using physical knowledge. Scientists were interested in the opportunities for applicants to design, create models and mock-ups for their own start-ups.
During the meeting, a cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design and G. V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine was discussed.
