On December 3, 2025, the international jury determined the winners of the XXIII International Competition of One Image and New Year and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan””.

The International Competition of One Image and New Year and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan””, founded more than 20 years ago by the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, was initially all-Ukrainian, later gained popularity, expanded the geography of participants and in 2021 received the status of international.

The meeting of the Competition jury was headed by Alla Kasych, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activity (Educational Activity), Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor. She noted the wide geography of the works submitted to the competition, because this year more than 250 designers from Ukraine, Moldova, Great Britain, Poland, China, Latvia took part in it. More than 120 works were submitted to the Competition of One Image of Clothing (Costume) and about 200 works to the Competition of New Year and Christmas Decor.

The jury members from Moldova, Poland, Great Britain, Latvia, USA, Belgium and Ukraine participated in the evaluation of the works. The members of the international jury evaluated the submitted works and made decisions on the prizes. Director of the Student Center for Fashion and Creativity Nataliia Lesiuta summarized the assessments of the international jury in the competitions "Clothing", "Shoes and Accessories", "Decor".

The discussion was attended by Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Nataliia Chuprina, Head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, Nataliia Ostapenko, Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion, Tetiana Struminska, Head of the Department of Fashion and Style, Olga Garanina, Head of the Department of Fashion Technology, as well as other members of the Competition jury: Iryna Davydenko, Tetiana Dzykovych, Olena Gerasymenko, Olena Kolosnichenko, Oleksandr Vasyliev, Olga Yezhova, Oksana Maznichenko, Iryna Chubotina and others.

Members of the international jury of the competition – Eugene Ryabenkii (Moldova), Angela Skripchenko (Moldova), Nataliya Rozhyn (Great Britain), Nadiia Kudryavtseva (Germany), Katarzyna Wojdyla (Poland), Oleksiy Kraevskyi (Ukraine), Bohdan Kass (Ukraine), Jean Gritsfeldt (Ukraine) and others connected online.

Based on the results of the rating evaluation, the members of the international jury formed a ranking list of participants and determined the winners of the Competition.

The announcement of the winners of the XXIII International Competition of One Image and New Year's and Christmas Decor “Suzirya “Kashtan”” will be held on December 10, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in a mixed format: online and in the Hall of the KNUTD (bild. 1, stage 3). The link will be sent to all participants of the Competition and their supervisors.
