In November 2025, students and teachers of the Faculty of Design took part in the second International Exhibition-Competition of Ideas/Projects/Models for Persons with Special Educational Needs “INCLUSION: DESIGN OF IDEAS. CHALLENGES OF THE TIME. 2025”, organized by the Department of Design of Cherkasy State Technological University and the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum.



The exhibition-competition “Inclusion: Design of Ideas. Challenges of Time. 2025” became a space for young designers to visually understand inclusivity as a response to the social, cultural and educational demands of modernity. Works for the exhibition-competition were presented in the following nominations: “Inclusive Space”, “Design for All”, “Educational Design”, “Inclusion in Object Design”, “Social Poster”, “Digital Inclusion”, “Inclusion through Art”, “Youth View”. The competition was attended by professional designers from about 20 leading professional higher education institutions in Ukraine and China, professional designers and artists from Ukraine, China, France, Canada, the USA, Colombia, Belgium, South Korea, Austria. In total, the exhibition presented about a hundred works.
The opening of the exhibition took place on November 20, 2025 at the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum. The opening of the exhibition was attended by: Rector of Cherkasy State Technical University Oleg Grigor, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor, Head of the Design Department of Cherkasy State Technical University Inna Yakovets, Doctor of Art History, Professor, Head of the Cultural Heritage Protection Sector of the Department of Culture of the Cherkasy Regional State Administration Tetiana Fedchenko, Director of the Art Museum Olga Gladun and other dignitaries.



Students of the Faculty of Design of KNUTD received prizes in the competition. The 3rd degree diploma in the nomination "Inclusive Space" was awarded to Polina Katsion, a student of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design (scientific supervisor Natalia Ryshkevych, senior lecturer of the Department of Interior Design).

In the nomination "Social Poster" prizes were awarded to students of the Department of Graphic Design of the KNUTD: Margarita Pekna (scientific supervisor Oksana Maznichenko, associate professor of the Department of Graphic Design) received a diploma of the 2nd degree and Anna Makarenko (scientific supervisor Alla Osadcha, Doctor of Philosophy, associate professor of the Department of Graphic Design) received a diploma of the 3rd degree.


The exhibition also featured works by students of the Department of Graphic Design of the KNUTD: Iryna Gvozdinska (supervisor Alla Osadcha) and Sofiia Kokhan (supervisor Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva).
We sincerely thank the Department of Design of the CDTU, the Head of the Department of Design Inna Yakovets for organizing an important event dedicated to the problems of inclusivity, equality, and meeting the needs of different population groups.
