According to the results of the most comprehensive state certification in the history of Ukraine in all scientific areas, Kyiv National University of Technology and Design has confirmed its unchanging leadership position.

This is, first of all, evidence of the effective result of the synergy of the entire scientific team of KNUTD. University science today works as a single organism in Ukraine and beyond: it is an undeniable five-year work of departments, laboratories, centers, scientific and art schools, international interdisciplinary project activities - where each unit performs its own function, but together they form a single effective innovative ecosystem.

It is advisable to highlight that achieving categories A and B became possible thanks to systematic, systematic, long-term work, this is not preparation in three months. and years of consistent implementation of strategic program documents: "University Development Strategy", "Sustainable Development Strategy", programs "Science", "Internationalization", "Energy Saving and Energy Efficiency", "Gender Equality", human potential development, support for publication activity, attraction of funding, technology transfer.

The process of preparing for the 2025 state certification took into account the previous five-year period according to the updated methodology, was carried out professionally and, compared to the 2020 methodology, took into account dozens of criteria, including not only publication activity, but also existing infrastructure, grant activity, international partnerships, the work of young scientists, participation in scientific mobility programs, interdisciplinary national and international projects, commercialization of scientific research, and cooperation with business.

The university had to demonstrate not only the results of previous years, but also development trends, the stability of scientific and artistic schools, and institutional potential. We were able to show a consistently high level in all dimensions.

Category A in "Engineering and Technology", category B in "Social" and "Humanities and Arts" - these are our strong and historically powerful positions. At the same time, it is no less important that the "biomedical" direction received category B - this indicates the stability and prospects of all areas of our scientific work. A university with such certification results guarantees access to innovative infrastructure for students, researchers, stakeholders, participation in international programs, the opportunity to form open science and technology transfer.
