From October 16 to December 1, 2025, the VI All-Ukrainian competition «The Best Scientific Paper on the Issues of Municipal Law» took place, the purpose of which was to identify creative and talented scientists who seek to participate in the analysis and resolution of problematic issues of improving the legislation of Ukraine on local self-government.

By the decision of the competition committee to determine the winners, the second place in the VI All-Ukrainian competition «The Best Scientific Paper on the Issues of Municipal Law» was won by Oleh Vladyslavovich Korotych, a postgraduate student of the Department of Private and Public Law of the Faculty of Economics and Management of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, who prepared a scientific competition paper on the topic: «Development and Restoration of Territorial Communities in Ukraine through the Lens of Legal Regulation of State Planning» (scientific supervisor, Doctor of Laws, Professor of the Department of Private and Public Law Ihor Volodymyrovych Diorditsa).

On December 5, 2025, at the XI All-Ukrainian Scientific and Practical Conference «Municipal Reform in the Context of Ukraine's European Integration: the Position of the Government, Scientists, Trade Unions and the Public», the results of the VI All-Ukrainian competition «The Best Scientific Paper on the Issues of Municipal Law» were announced.

We congratulate Oleg Vladyslavovich Korotich, the scientific supervisor, and the staff of the Department of Private and Public Law on a significant scientific achievement, and we also wish him further scientific achievements!
