On December 12, 2025, the Head of the TISC Office at KNUTD, Anna Orel, participated in the session COLLABORATE TO INNOVATE 2025 – “Collaboration among Stakeholders of the Innovation Ecosystem.” The event was organized by the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations (IP OFFICE).
During the session, participants discussed approaches to building effective partnerships that create added value for all stakeholders in the innovation process — startups, businesses, investors, as well as the academic and research communities.

The discussion focused on key aspects of interaction within the innovation ecosystem, including business expectations from collaboration with startups and criteria for selecting reliable partners, investment readiness of innovative projects and the risks considered by investors when making decisions, the role of intellectual property protection in negotiation processes, implementation of pilot projects, and further scaling of solutions. The session also highlighted the opportunities offered by the TISC (Technology and Innovation Support Center) network in developing effective IP strategies and providing comprehensive support for innovative projects — from the idea stage to market entry.

Particular attention was given to partnership models that ensure long-term development, as well as to the barriers that may hinder growth and effective collaboration among innovation ecosystem stakeholders.

Participation in the event provided an opportunity to gain deeper insights into international approaches to innovation development, the role of intellectual property and pre-mediation in building partnerships, as well as practical tools for enhancing the investment attractiveness of innovative projects.

KNUTD creates conditions for innovation development, the establishment of effective connections between science, business, and the startup community, and their practical implementation.
