On December 12, 2025, second-year higher education students (group BAMP1-24, Creative Workshop Kino V.A.) majoring in 026 Performing Arts at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design successfully passed the exam in the discipline “Contemporary Dance,” demonstrating a high level of training in contemporary choreography.

The future actors presented the results of their hard work to the teachers and guests of the department: professional training – a set of complex exercises and plastic training; creative expression – an original choreographic composition entitled “Looking for a Person.”

Artistic director of the workshop Vitaliy Kino, welcoming the students, emphasized that contemporary theater places extremely high demands on young artists. Actors must have perfect control not only over their voices, but also over their bodies, combining the qualities of an intellectual and a flexible “marionette.” It was precisely this kind of versatile actor that Les Kurbas called a “Smart Harlequin.”
