ACTIVITIES OF UANIPIO AND PROJECTS FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE INNOVATION ECOSYSTEM

On December 17, 2025, an informational and educational event was held at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design for faculty members, students, and researchers on the topic: Аctivities of UANIPIO and projects for the development of the innovation ecosystem” supported by the office for international and project activities of KNUTD and the Department for innovation development of UANIPIO.

The event featured speakers from the Ukrainian National Office of Intellectual Property and Innovations (UANIPIO): Ihor Parenchuk, Deputy Director of UANIPIO; Karolina Kravchuk, Deputy Head of the Department for the Development of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) Network, Innovation Development Department of UANIPIO; Anastasiia Yarmoliuk, Deputy Head of the Innovation Development Department - Head of the TISC Network Development Division; Anna Orel, Head of the TISC Office at KNUTD.

During the event, Ihor Parenchuk, Deputy Director of the Ukrainian National Office for Intellectual Property and Innovation (UANIPIO), introduced all participants to the activities of the office in shaping and developing the national innovation ecosystem, as well as to the modern services and tools available to support innovators, researchers, startups, and businesses.

Karolina Kravchuk placed particular emphasis on the activities of the National IP & Innovations Hub as a full-cycle service platform that supports innovation projects from idea to commercialization. This support includes IP strategies, consultations, educational programs, and analytical tools. The IP&IHub is designed to serve as a "one-stop shop" for innovators and businesses, providing end-to-end support — from concept to market.

As part of the program, Anastasiia Yarmoliuk presented the functioning of the Technology and Innovation Support Centers (TISC) network, its international context through cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), as well as practical mechanisms for the commercialization of intellectual property assets, technology transfer, and support for startups at various stages of development.

The final segment featured a presentation by Anna Orel, Head of the TISC office at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD), outlining opportunities available to students, faculty, and researchers for consultations on intellectual property (IP) matters, analysis of technology trends, IP rights protection, commercialization of IP assets, technology transfer, and the promotion of innovation in Ukraine. In this way, local TISC help inventors, innovators, and entrepreneurs access the information and support needed to advance their developments.

The organization of this event contributes to strengthening the interaction between education, science, and innovation infrastructure, while also developing practical competencies in the field of intellectual property and innovation within the academic community.

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is creating conditions for the development of the national innovation ecosystem and strengthening the university’s role as an active participant in the transfer of knowledge and technologies, with a focus on the practical application of intellectual property and innovation.
