
Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design continues its active participation in international initiatives aimed at implementing the principles of sustainable development and environmentally oriented approaches in industry.
On 16 December 2025, a team of researchers from KNUTD, comprising Viktoriia Marhasova, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Director of the Office of International and Project Activities; Nataliia Fastovets, PhD in Public Administration, Associate Professor, Specialist of the Office of International and Project Activities; Nataliia Husarevych, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Specialist of the Office of International and Project Activities; and Olena Budiakova, PhD in Economics, Associate Professor, Associate Professor of the Department of Economics, took part in the 10th meeting of the Advisory Board of the GEIPP-II Ukraine Project.
The project is implemented by the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) with financial support from the Government of Switzerland through the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The GEIPP-II Ukraine Project is the second phase of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme and is being implemented in Ukraine during 2025–2028. The beneficiary of the project is the Ministry of Economy, Environment and Agriculture of Ukraine.
The aim of the project is to scale up circular economy approaches, reduce the climate impact of industry, and enhance the resilience of industrial parks.

During the meeting of the Advisory Board, participants focused on developing recommendations for the 12th meeting of the Supervisory Board of the GEIPP-II Ukraine Project regarding the needs of stakeholders for the coming years, as well as selecting a representative to present these recommendations at the national level.
Olena Budiakova presented the university’s experience in developing and implementing eco-industrial park approaches within the university’s educational and research activities.

The participation of KNUTD representatives in the GEIPP-II Ukraine Project contributes to the development of applied research in the field of the circular economy, the integration of international experience into educational programmes, and the strengthening of the university’s role in shaping an environmentally oriented industrial policy of the state.
