ACTING METHODS IN EDUCATION: OLGA KOPIEVSKAYA'S TRAINING FOR EDUCATORS

December for the Department of Performing Arts and Culture at KNUTD is not only a time for exams, but also a period of active professional exchange and methodological cooperation. We are proud that our teachers share their unique experience with their colleagues in education!

On December 16, 2025, Olga Kopievska, professor of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, Doctor of Cultural Studies, and Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, became the keynote speaker at the regular meeting of the Pedagogical Council at the Palace of Children's and Youth Creativity.

Ms. Olga conducted an intensive practical training session for extracurricular teachers on the topic: “Value-oriented education in the context of reforms and social change.” Teachers implemented complex educational values through modern creative approaches. Participants did not just discuss theory, but wrote fairy tales themselves and assigned roles. Through acting and plastic images, educators modeled life situations, embodying fundamental concepts: WILL, DIGNITY, INDIVIDUALITY, and SOLIDARITY.

The art of acting and image creation is a powerful tool not only on stage but also in the development of a conscious personality. The use of play, critical thinking, and empathy makes the educational process exciting and meaningful. The joint work proved to be extremely productive: teachers received practical “tools” for working with children, and the atmosphere of the teachers' council became a real source of inspiration and new challenges.

We are proud of O. Kopievskaya's professionalism and continue to strengthen creative ties with educational institutions!
