On December 16 and 18, 2025, the Department of Industrial Pharmacy of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design held defenses of qualification works of the first group of the second (master's) level of higher education in the educational and professional program "European Cosmeceutics" (specialty 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering).
The qualifying works were evaluated by the examination commission, headed by Liubov VAKHITOVA, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Senior Researcher, Leading Researcher of the L. M. Litvinenko Institute of Physical-Organic and Coal Chemistry of the NAS of Ukraine, and the members of the commission were scientific and pedagogical workers of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy: Volodymyr BESSARABOV, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor; Olena ISCHCHENKO, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Associate Professor; Galyna KUZMINA, Candidate of Chemical Sciences, Associate Professor. The Secretary of the examination commission was Olena ROIK, Candidate of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Associate Professor.
In their qualification works students presented current research on the development of various cosmetic products: sunscreens, serums, creams with spicules, cosmetic masks, powders, toothpastes, lotions, etc., as well as confirmation of their effectiveness in accordance with European quality standards. The students paid special attention to the feasibility study of the production of the developed products to confirm their practical significance and commercial potential.
The examination committee highly appreciated the level of the presented works, in particular their relevance, scientific novelty of the obtained results, and significant potential for implementation at the production facilities of enterprises.
The first graduation of masters in the educational and professional program "European Cosmeceutics", which was opened at the department in 2024, confirmed its effectiveness and compliance with the current demands of the industry. The implementation of the educational and professional program is carried out on the basis of the latest practice-oriented approaches to training in an active research environment using modern analytical and technological equipment in the educational process. Also, during the training, students undergo internships at leading domestic enterprises in the cosmetics industry. It is important to note the active participation of specialists from UmanHimTrade Ukraine LLC in the educational process of training specialists in the EPP "European Cosmeceutics". Company representatives participate in conducting lectures and laboratory classes, introducing students to modern production technologies and current industry trends.
