On December 23, 2025, a meeting of the staff of the Faculty of Design was held, where the results of the work of the faculty in 2025 were summed up and the main vectors of work for 2026 were determined.
Oleksandra Olshanska, Acting Rector of KNUTD, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, warmly congratulated the staff of the Faculty of Design on the upcoming holidays, wished everyone peace, happiness, love, fulfillment of dreams and implementation of plans.
In her speech, Oleksandra Volodymyrivna expressed her gratitude to the Ukrainian soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, who courageously defend our independence and freedom. She noted the numerous achievements of the faculty of design, and wished to continue to increase the potential of scientific, educational, and international activities.
Oleksandra Volodymyrivna presented gratitude to the scientific and pedagogical staff of the Faculty of Design for their high achievements in the field of education and science, conscientious work, professionalism, dedication to the cause of educating the younger generation and on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the KNUTD. The lecturers of the Faculty of Design are sincerely grateful for the awards, for the recognition of their work for the benefit of the University.
Mykhailo Kulyniak, First Vice-Rector of KNUTD, Candidate of Art History, Associate Professor, thanked the members of the Faculty of Design for their fruitful work, outlined the prospects for the development of the University, and noted that only the joint dedicated work of everyone brings high results in various fields of activity and ensures that KNUTD maintains high positions in world rankings.
Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, noted the scientific potential of the Faculty of Design, scientific projects implemented by the Faculty's scientists, the high publication activity of teachers and postgraduates, the effectiveness of postgraduate studies in the specialty "Design" and wished the members of the team success, new projects, development and prosperity in the New Year.
Talіat Bielialov, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activities and Educational Work, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, congratulated all those present on Merry Christmas and Happy New Year, summarized the achievements of 2025 in improving the material base and living conditions of students, and spoke about the prospects for development in this direction.
Viktoriia Margasova, Director of the Office of International and Project Activities of the KNUTD, Doctor of Science in Economics, Professor, joined the words of welcome.
Kalyna Pashkevych, Dean of the Faculty of Design, Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor, reported on the results of the faculty's activities in 2025. She outlined the achievements of the faculty staff in 2025, identified areas of activity for the next year for the effective training of students, the implementation of educational, methodological and scientific work at a high level. The faculty staff positively approved the dean's report.
Kalyna Livianivna thanked the faculty staff for their coordinated, productive work, especially noting Nataliia Chuprina, Head of the Department of Art and Fashion Design for the effective activities of the department; Olga Yezhova, Professor of the Department of Graphic Design for the large number of indexed articles in the Scopus scientometric database in 2025; Associate Professors of the Department of Art and Fashion Design Olena Gerasymenko and Liudmyla Melnyk for the implementation of the InnovaTex, SusWearTex scientific projects; Danylo Kosenko, Head of the Department of Interior and Furniture Design for the development of a number of projects for university premises to improve the material and technical base; Liliia Zhuravel-Zmieieva, Head of the Department of Graphic Design, for the active organization of exhibition activities with the broad involvement of students; Olena Vasylieva, Head of the Department of Multimedia Design and Iryna Davydenko, Associate Professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design – for the organization of international academic online mobility of students of the faculty with universities in the USA, Great Britain, and Saudi Arabia; Galyna Kokorina, Associate Professor of the Department of Art and Fashion Design, for the organization of a large-scale exhibition of student designers “BIOFASHION” at the NR «Sofia Kyivska»; Oleksandr Vasyliev, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Design, for organizing educational work at a high level and volunteer activities.
In 2025, the staff of the Faculty of Design fruitfully worked within the framework of international design organizations ELIA, CUMULUS, as well as the projects “Three Seas Initiative Cultural Cooperation Network (3SICCN)”, “TWINNING”, etc., took part in the “Week of Ukrainian Design and Innovation”, won the “Inspireli Awards” competition, expanded international relations with universities in Norway, the USA, Great Britain, Saudi Arabia, Poland, Moldova, Romania, etc. Exhibitions of artists, teachers and students of the Faculty of Design were held in the Exhibition Center of KNUTD “Art Space” and at many exhibition venues in Kyiv, as well as in Poland and Moldova: “Sunflower - a symbol of Ukraine!”, “Colors of Art”, “Antidote” and others. On behalf of the staff of the Faculty of Design, Dean Kalyna Pashkevych thanked the Acting Rector of KNUTD Oleksandra Olshanska, the vice-rectors of the university for their support, care and stable development of the University.
The meeting of the faculty staff was attended by scientific and pedagogical workers, heads of departments, postgraduate students, students, and auxiliary staff of departments. A bright Christmas greeting was heard from members of the student trade union committee of KNUTD. KNUTD students Anna Spaska, Anna Davydenko, Dariia Bazio and Anastasiia Mishchenko sang Christmas carols, greeting everyone present and creating a festive mood.
Oleksandra Olshanska, acting rector of KNUTD, Kalyna Pashkevych, dean of the Faculty of Design, and Viktoriia Stepanets, head of the student government of the Faculty of Design, awarded active students of the faculty with diplomas and sweet gifts, thanked them for their active public position, and for their assistance in organizing the educational and extracurricular activities of students of the Faculty of Design.
Members of the design faculty congratulated each other on the upcoming Merry Christmas and Happy New Year in a friendly atmosphere.
