ART THAT SUPPORTS THE REAR: TEACHERS FROM THE FACULTY OF ARTS AND FASHION TOOK PART IN THE CHARITY ART-TYL FESTIVAL

On 21 December 2025, the Hetman Museum (Kyiv) hosted the grand opening of a charity art event – the Art-Tyl Festival and Exhibition, held with the support of the Azerbaijani, Romanian and Ukrainian artists in Ukraine and with the assistance of Iryna and Mykola Svergun and Viktoria Bobylova. The team of co-organisers included representatives from the university's Faculty of Arts and Fashion. The Art-Tyl project is a special initiative that combines creativity and volunteering. The exhibition presents artworks created during the war, which have become a powerful symbol of the indomitable Ukrainian spirit.

Teachers from the Faculty of Arts and Fashion at Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design were active participants in the event, including Tetiana Dzykovych, Alla Semenova, Liudmyla Halavska, Tymofiy Lypsky, Yana Mamchenko, Halyna Oliinyk, Inna Kosiak, Alla Kolodiazhna, Svetlana Lozovenko, Tetyana Makhinya, and Oleksandra Protsko. The exhibition partners were Natalia Nazarenko, Director of Serpanok Handmade, and Iryna Murashko.

The exhibition features original paintings by faculty members, unique handmade items, painted bullet casings, and military artefacts transformed into works of art.

The festival brought together artists from various genres, including singers, folk craftswomen, poets, musicians, writers, as well as representatives of industry and educational institutions.

A special feature of the festival was its charitable component: a lottery was held during the event, with all proceeds donated to support the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Visitors had the opportunity not only to familiarise themselves with the artists’ works, but also to contribute to our common victory by purchasing exhibited items. The faculty teachers made leather wallets and knitted patriotic bracelets, which were donated for a charity lottery for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The participation of the academic and teaching staff of the Faculty of Arts and Fashion in such initiatives highlights the active civic position of KNUTD and underscores the importance of the cultural front in today’s realities. Art today is not only about aesthetics, but also a powerful means of supporting our defenders.

Everyone is invited to visit the exhibition at the Hetman Museum (16-B Spaska Street)

and support this charitable initiative.

The exhibition will run until the end of December.

Together to our Victory!
