On December 18, 2025, Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) hosted a milestone event in the field of youth creativity — the final evaluation and jury review of the I All-Ukrainian Youth Creative Contest «KRYLA».
The contest brought together over 70 talented participants from across Ukraine, specifically from the Kyiv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, Cherkasy, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Ternopil, and Zaporizhzhia regions. Such extensive geographical coverage underscores the significant demand among the youth for self-expression and the promotion of national cultural values.
The evaluation was conducted by a highly qualified committee consisting of prominent scholars and cultural figures: Oleksandra Olshanska – Chair of the Organizing Committee, Acting Rector of KNUTD, PhD in Economics; Iryna Trusova – Dean of the Faculty of Cultural and Creative Industries, Honored Worker of Culture of Ukraine; Vira Burnazova – Head of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, PhD in Pedagogy; Liudmyla Ardelyan – Honored Artist of Ukraine, Associate Professor of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture; Olena Sushchenko – Head of the Department of Tourism and Hotel-Restaurant Business, Doctor of Economics; Olena Akhmedova – Associate Professor of the Department of Tourism and Hotel-Restaurant Business, Doctor of Economics; Vladyslav Berkovskyi – Head of the Department of Digital Art, PhD in History; Yana Boiko – Head of the Department of Philology and Translation, Doctor of Philology, Professor; Oksana Khalabuzar – Associate Professor of the Department of Philology and Translation, PhD in Pedagogy; Daryna Chernyak – Deputy Dean, Associate Professor of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, PhD in Sociology; Denys Kocherzhuk – Deputy Dean, Senior Lecturer of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, Honored Artist of Variety Arts of Ukraine.
The jury members commended the high level of preparation and the profound conceptual depth of the submitted works. The highest honors (Grand Prix) were awarded to: Nomination: «Lina Kostenko as a Cultural Brand» (Sub-nomination: «Development of Thematic Cultural Products and Services»): Iryna Makieieva and the «Reading is Trendy» art group (Center for Extracurricular Activities of Sviatoshynskyi District, Kyiv); Nomination: «Digital Media Interpretations» (Sub-nomination: «Visual Interpretations of Lina Kostenko’s Works in Original Artistic Illustrations»): Olesia Smyrna (National Academy of Fine Arts and Architecture).
