On the eve of the New Year, representatives of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, led by Dean Igor Vasylovych Panasyuk, visited the G.V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The director of the institute, academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Valentin Andriyovych Tatarenko, and his deputies, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences Vitaliy Petrovich Bevz and Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor Vyacheslav Vyacheslavovich Lizunov, conducted a tour of most of the Institute's scientific laboratories, demonstrating their work. While familiarizing herself with the various laboratories, Iryna Veniaminivna Oleynikova, Head of the Department of Applied Physics and Higher Mathematics, had the opportunity to arrange for students majoring in E6 (105) Applied Physics and Nanomaterials to undergo practical training in conducting research activities related to the scientific direction of the department.

The Institute's modern equipment will allow applicants to participate in current scientific research. An electron microscope, a modern tensile testing machine, and a nuclear magnetic resonance unit are just a small part of the equipment that the Institute has for conducting scientific research.

The visit ended with the ceremonial signing of a cooperation agreement between KNUTD and the G.V. Kurdyumov Institute of Metal Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

This collaboration should serve as an impetus for joint participation in international projects, improving the quality of training for applicants, and expanding the University's research activities.
