CULTUROLOGICAL RESEARCH EXPERIENCE IN GERMANY: GUEST LECTURE BY PROFESSOR IRYNA PETROVA FOR KNUTD PhD STUDENTS

On January 29, 2026, the Department of Scenic Art and Culture at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design hosted a significant scientific event for students of the third (educational and scientific) level of higher education, majoring in 034 Cultural Studies. The event was initiated and actively supported by Olha Rafailivna Kopiievska, Doctor of Cultural Studies, Professor, and Honored Worker of Education of Ukraine, whose support has significantly contributed to the development of scientific dialogue within the department. As part of deepening international scientific integration, a guest online lecture was delivered by Professor Iryna Petrivna Petrova, Doctor of Cultural Studies.

The lecture title, "Culturological Research in Germany: Traditions and Procedural Features," addressed key aspects of the functioning of European humanities. Professor Iryna Petrova provided detailed insights into the following issues: the formation and development of the German school of cultural studies; methodological approaches and current trends in German research; the specifics of procedural aspects, ranging from the organization of the research process to the stages of defending scientific papers.

The meeting took place in the format of an active dialogue. PhD students had the opportunity not only to learn about the experiences of their German colleagues but also to discuss the potential for adapting best European practices into their own scientific dissertations.

We sincerely thank Iryna Petrivna for her insightful lecture and profound analysis, and Olha Rafailivna for encouraging young scientists to broaden their research horizons!
