NPP OF THE DEPARTMENT OF MARKETING JOINED THE DISCUSSION OF INSTITUTIONAL PRACTICES OF INCLUSION IN HIGHER EDUCATION: THE EXPERIENCE OF UK UNIVERSITIES AND IMPLEMENTATION PROSPECTS

On February 12, 2026, scientific and pedagogical employees of the Department of Marketing (Head of the Department Olena Yevseytseva, Professors of the Department Svitlana Bebko and Anna Orel, Associate Professors Kateryna Shikovets and Halyna Kvita, Senior Lecturer of the Department Yuriy Horodetsky, Assistants of the Department Pavlo Shevchuk and Diana Nycheglod) took part in a professional online webinar "Caring for the Education Seeker and Inclusivity. Experience of UK Universities", which was organized by the State Institution "NMC VFPO", University of Exeter and the Ukrainian Marketing Association. The webinar examined modern approaches to ensuring inclusion and wellbeing in higher education institutions.

According to the organizers, the main goal of the webinar was to disseminate practices of caring for students, adapting the educational process to the needs of people with special educational needs, as well as to discuss formal and informal support mechanisms used in British universities in the education quality assurance system.

The speaker of the event was Natalia Pysarenko, Candidate of Economic Sciences, Associate Professor and Director of the Marketing and Business Analytics Master's Program at the Department of Business Strategy and Marketing at the University of Exeter (Great Britain). She presented an analytical review of modern educational practices in the United Kingdom aimed at creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment for all students, regardless of their individual characteristics or social circumstances.

The event focused on a wide range of issues currently at the center of international educational discourse. In particular, the principles of inclusive education were discussed as a philosophy and practice, according to which every student has equal access to quality education and the opportunity to fully realize their potential. In the British context, inclusion is defined not only as physical accessibility, but also as flexibility in teaching, adaptation of assessment, support for mental well-being and creation of conditions for social interaction of students in study groups.

Special attention during the webinar was paid to wellbeing practices - support for the psycho-emotional state of students. It is known that universities in the UK have significantly expanded mental health and social support programs: modern student welfare systems include professional counseling, group therapy, stress management training, digital support services and integration of peer-to-peer activities. Such comprehensive approaches contribute to increasing student engagement in the learning process and increasing their academic success.

The speaker also highlighted the structural support mechanisms that are widely practiced in British universities, in particular the institute of academic tutors, adaptation services for applicants with special educational needs and inclusive curriculum design strategies. Such approaches are aimed at eliminating barriers to learning as much as possible, ensuring fairness and diversity in the educational environment, as well as creating a sense of belonging and support among students.

The event once again demonstrated that ensuring the inclusive and psychosocial well-being of applicants is a key element of modern quality education, which requires comprehensive solutions, interdisciplinary cooperation and active exchange of international practices.

The Department of Marketing expresses its sincere gratitude to the President of the Ukrainian Marketing Association, Iryna Viktorivna Lylyk, as well as the State Institution "NMC WFPO" and the University of Exeter for the high level of organization of the webinar, active support for the development of inclusive education and strengthening international academic partnership.
