MEETING WITH STAKEHOLDERS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF INDUSTRIAL PHARMACY. JOB FAIR

In order to harmonize educational programs with the needs of the pharmaceutical, cosmetic and chemical industries, the labor market and to strengthen the practical orientation of training specialists in specialty 226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy (EPP Industrial Pharmacy), specialty 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering (EPP European Cosmeceutics), specialty 161 Chemical Technology and Engineering (EPP Innovative  Pharmaceutics ) and Doctors of Philosophy (EPP Industrial Pharmacy), round tables were held with the participation of students, teachers of the department and employers.

During the meeting with stakeholders for Specialty 161 Chemical Technologies and Engineering (EPP European Cosmeceutics), specialists from the cosmetic and chemical industries were involved: "Procare" LLC, "Umanhimetrade" LLC, "Idea Shop" LLC, "Elfa Laboratory" LLC, "Naturpro" LLC, "Nutritive" LLC, "RoBeauty" LLC, "Interdez" LLC, and "Velta-Cosmetic" LLC. The stakeholders proposed strengthening practical training for students, implementing modern production case studies, and expanding cooperation with industry enterprises.

During the meeting with stakeholders for Specialty 226 Pharmacy, Industrial Pharmacy (EPP Industrial Pharmacy), Specialty 161 Chemical Technologies and Engineering (EPP Innovative Pharmaceutics), and Doctors of Philosophy (EP "Industrial Pharmacy"), representatives from pharmaceutical and chemical industry enterprises  were invited for discussion. Specifically, Dr. S. Hureyeva, Doctor of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Technological Development Department at Farmak, noted the high level of education of the students and emphasized the importance of further developing practical skills and implementing innovative technologies into the educational process. Other stakeholders, including L. Vakhitova, Leading Research Fellow at the L.M. Lytvynenko Institute of Physical-Organic Chemistry and Coal Chemistry of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, K. Kalafat, Director of "KOVLAR GROUP" LLC, and department postgraduate student V. Yaremenko, also joined the lively discussion, offering their suggestions for improving educational programs, strengthening practical training components, and expanding opportunities for dual education. Participants paid particular attention to the need to adapt the educational process to the current demands of the pharmaceutical market, develop soft skills in students, and foster interdisciplinary competencies.

 

Company representatives highly appreciated the program's relevance to current labor market needs, its practical training approach, and the availability of a dedicated website for the EPP. During a tour of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy, stakeholders familiarized themselves with the educational and scientific laboratory and classrooms where qualified specialists for the cosmeceutical and pharmaceutical industries are trained.

Furthermore, future areas of cooperation were identified, particularly regarding opportunities for students to undergo internships at these enterprises, which will contribute to the development of their professional skills and preparation for future careers during their studies.

Another significant event at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) was the annual traditional career event – the "Job Fair", which brought together students and representatives of leading enterprises to establish professional dialogue and explore employment prospects. This event was very valuable for higher education students of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy at KNUTD, as they had the opportunity to communicate with specialists from many leading pharmaceutical and cosmetic companies. This year, specialists from the following companies participated: "UMANHIMTRADE UKRAINE" LLC (HR Manager Tetiana YAUSHEVA and Sales Support Manager Anastasiia OTSALIUK), "PROCARE" LLC (HR Director Olena SEMENETS); "ARTERIUM" CORPORATION (Training and Development Manager of the Corporate University Maryna HERASYMENKO and Head of the Distance Learning Group of the Corporate University Ihor KLIUCHKA); "LEKHIM-OBUKHIV" LLC (Head of Validation and Quality Control Department Olha TSYMBALIST, Head of QC Analytical Lab Tetiana VIESIELOVA, and Analytical Chemist Oksana CHERNYSH); "PHARMEX GROUP" LLC (HR Inspectors Yuliia MAKSYMENKO and Tetiana SHEVCHENKO).

 

Direct communication with potential employers allowed students not only to form a clear understanding of the current demands of the modern labor market, key professional skills, and competencies necessary for a successful career start, but also to receive valuable practical advice and job offers.
