Language is more than just a means of communication; it is our weapon, our identity, and our genetic code.
On February 19, at 12:00 PM, the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine hosted a large-scale literary and artistic event titled "In the Beginning Was the Word." The event was dedicated to International Mother Language Day, celebrated annually on February 21 to honor linguistic diversity and protect national identity.
Higher education students and faculty members from the Department of Performing Arts and Culture (Faculty of Culture and Creative Industries, KNUTD) participated in the event, presenting a vibrant program that united different generations and creative workshops. Under the guidance of the department's leading lecturers, the students demonstrated exceptional stage culture and deep patriotism.
Students of Group BAMP 1-23 (under the guidance of Senior Lecturer Alla Bineieva): Oleksii Vakhliovskyi, Anna Korolova, Milana Martirosova, Anastasiia Romanenko, and Oleksandra Marysyk performed a profound program of civil lyrics, featuring works by Y. Izdryk, M. Kryvtsov, L. Kostenko, and L. Tarapakina.

Students Yevheniia Hilenko (BAMP 1-22) and Sofiia Slavinska (BAMP(sk)n 1-23): Under the mentorship of Associate Professor and Honored Artist of Ukraine Liudmyla Ardelyan, they created a special atmosphere by showcasing the continuity of theatrical traditions through the works of Ukrainian classics, specifically I. Kotlyarevsky.
Second-year students (Group BAMP 1-24): Accompanied by Senior Lecturer Vitaliy Kino, the freshmen attended the event to support their fellow students and engage with themes of national self-identity.

We express our sincere gratitude to the leaders of the creative workshops and the organizers from the National Museum of Literature of Ukraine. Your support for initiatives that temper and strengthen the Ukrainian word is invaluable in today's world.
We are immensely proud of our students, who prove every day that our mother tongue is a force that unites us and leads us toward victory!
