February 19, 2026, marked a significant milestone for the academic community of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design, as students, PhD candidates of the "Cultural Studies" program, and faculty members of the Department of Performing Arts and Culture gathered to discuss the fundamental principles of honest science. Participation in the Academic Integrity Forum allowed participants not only to update their theoretical knowledge but also to develop a shared vision of ethical standards, which are critical for modern higher education and the integration of Ukrainian science into the global research landscape.

Throughout the event, special attention was paid to fostering a culture of transparency and accountability, where strict adherence to citation standards and the prevention of plagiarism are seen as the basis for building trust between researchers. Participants discussed how the individual ethical responsibility of everyone — from first-year students to experienced professors — directly impacts the quality of the educational process and the international prestige of the university. For future cultural experts, these values are of particular importance, as professional ethics is an integral part of their professional identity and a guarantee of competitiveness in the labor market.

By developing a culture of academic integrity, the Department of Performing Arts and Culture emphasizes its commitment to creating an environment where knowledge is acquired transparently and scientific achievements are based on principles of fairness and mutual respect. This approach ensures the training of a new generation of specialists for whom integrity is an internal conviction and a professional standard of life.
