MEETING OF THE UNIVERSITY COMMUNITY "HOW ARE YOU?" AT THE STATE UNIVERSITY "ZHYTOMYR POLYTECHNIC"

The team of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, represented by Vice-Rector Hanushchak-Yefimenko Liudmyla, and Head of the NTB, Bukoros Tetyana, joined the meeting of university communities within the framework of the All-Ukrainian mental health program "How are you?" - an initiative of the First Lady Olena Zelenska. Our university has been a participant in the program since 2025 and the team successfully shares the practice of supporting mental health at KNUTD. Field meetings are a traditional format for exchanging experience among the HEIs of the community.

The event was attended by First Lady Olena Zelenska, Deputy Minister of Education and Science Mykola Trofymenko, Deputy Minister for Veterans Affairs Yulia Kirilova, representatives of the National Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education, the National Qualifications Agency, vice-rectors and heads of psychological services of universities of the "How are you?" community, experts in the field of mental health.

During the meeting, the results of a study on the training of non-medical specialists in the field of mental health were presented.

What should be the answers to the gaps highlighted by the study - the participants of the meeting strategized during a practical workshop. A separate side activity was a meeting of representatives of project teams of HEIs who participated in the creation and implementation of training programs for training consultants using the "Rivny-Rivny" method, 3 graduates of the first group.

During the event, six new educational courses for specialists in the field of mental health, created by "How are you?" in accordance with international standards, and taking into account professional requests: “Prevention of risky behavior among youth”, “Trauma-informed approach”, “Adolescence: a map for adults”, “Legislation in the field of mental health: a navigator for a specialist”, “Stress-free motherhood and fatherhood: a course for specialists” and “Basic communication skills for providers of psychosocial support”.

The event once again became an important platform for getting acquainted with new tools for supporting mental health and their integration into the educational process.
