WORKING TOGETHER TO CREATE QUALITY EDUCATION: DISCUSSION OF THE INTERNATIONAL ECONOMICS EDUCATION PROGRAMME

On 2 March 2026, the Department of Economics hosted a meeting between the working group of the International Economics educational programme and stakeholders. The purpose of the event was to discuss the relevance of the structure and content of the educational programme, the compliance of learning outcomes with the current requirements of the global labour market, and to identify areas for further improvement.

Professor Ihor OKHRIMENKO from the Institute of European University of Economics in Bydgoszcz, who focused on the development of professional competencies in the field of international economics, the transformation of the international business environment, the digitalisation of economic processes, and new requirements for the competencies of future graduates.

 

Head of the Department of Economics and Finance at KROK University, Doctor of Economics, Professor Ihor RUMYK emphasised the importance of developing analytical thinking, strategic vision, digital literacy, intercultural communication and foreign language skills in the implementation of the International Economics educational programme.

Stakeholder Ievhen SADOVSKY shared his practical experience and vision of the key skills necessary for successful professional activity in the context of international competition, economic turbulence and Ukraine’s integration into the global economic space. Yevhen SADOVSKY emphasised the relevance of the International Economics educational programme and its alignment with current trends in the development of the global economy.

During the working meeting, the list of educational components, the logic of their interconnection, the balance between theoretical and practical training, as well as the possibilities for integrating modern digital tools, analytical methods and interdisciplinary approaches were analysed.

The discussion of the International Economics educational programme demonstrated the stakeholders’ interest in cooperating with KNUTD and their willingness to participate in the development of the educational programme through expert consultations, guest lectures, and the organisation of internships and work placements. Such interaction will contribute to the formation of a high-quality modern educational environment and the training of competitive specialists capable of operating effectively in a globalised economy.
