On December 10, 2025, as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement between Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design (KNUTD) and the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, a working meeting was held between representatives of the Department of Professional Education in Technology and Design (the POSTD Department) at KNUTD and an expert from the Department of Labor Psychology at IPOED.
Alla Shevenko, PhD, Senior Researcher of the Department of Labor Psychology of the Ivan Ziaziun Institute of Professional Education of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The POSTD Department was represented by: Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, Head of the Department Alla Semenova; PhD, Associate Professor Maksym Moskaliov, Guarantor of the Educational and Professional Program “Psychology”; PhD, Associate Professor Alla Kolodyazhna. During the working discussion, special attention was paid to the issues of the content of the practical training of students under the educational and professional program “Psychology”.

During the discussion, emphasis was placed on aligning practical training tasks with the program’s learning outcomes, expanding the capabilities of the scientific and practical base, and strengthening the research component of training for future psychologists. It was also noted that in 2026, Alla Shevenko will chair the Examination Committee for the certification of the first Bachelor’s degree of the “Psychology” program, reflecting a high level of professional trust and recognition of her expertise.

During the professional discussion, the specifics of organizing educational, production, and pre-graduate practice for future psychologists under martial law were analyzed in detail. The range of professional competencies in demand in modern practice was outlined, including working with trauma, crisis counseling, adherence to ethical standards, and supervisory culture. The psychological risks that applicants may encounter when interacting with different categories of clients were also identified. Special attention was given to the role of reflective techniques and supervisory support in the formation of professional identity, as well as the potential for expanding the network of practice bases through the involvement of partner institutions.
The Ivan Zyazyun Institute of Pedagogical Education and Adult Education was acknowledged for its consistent cooperation, expert support, and recommendations, which contribute to improving the quality of training for applicants in the “Psychology” program.
