KNUTD STUDENT INITIATIVES: PRESENTING CULTURAL STUDIES TO THE MODERN GENERATION

The educational internship for first-year students of the "Cultural Studies" program has become much more than just a standard stage of learning. Under the expert guidance of Professor Olena Rafayilivna Kopiievska from the Department of Performing Arts and Culture, our freshmen transformed into true ambassadors for their specialty. It was a period of intense creativity, where the theory of cultural studies was reshaped into vivid images, visual concepts, and compelling narratives tailored to the modern generation.

The students independently developed presentation content, infusing it not only with knowledge of cultural codes and industries but also with their own passion and drive from their first year at KNUTD. This creative project served as the foundation for a series of career guidance meetings with high school graduates. Instead of formal reports, a sincere dialogue took place between those who have already made their choice and those still standing on the threshold of adulthood.

The meetings proved to be incredibly dynamic: school students showed active interest in the prospects of an education in cultural studies. They asked about combining creativity with management and where a modern culturologist fits into today's digital world. Our students didn’t just provide answers; they shared personal insights and motivation, explaining that culture today is a powerful tool for influence and the development of creative industries.

This internship format allowed freshmen to feel a sense of responsibility for their future profession and learn how to present complex ideas in simple, engaging language. The high volume of questions from prospective students and the lively discussions confirmed that Cultural Studies at the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design is a space for bold, educated, and motivated individuals ready to shape the future today.
