EXCURSION FOR FUTURE FASHION INDUSTRY PROFESSIONALS TO THE “STELA” LEATHER AND ACCESSORIES STORE

Practical training is an important component of the professional development of future fashion industry specialists, as it combines theoretical knowledge with real-life production conditions and the materials market. Direct contact with the professional environment allows students to gain the modern applied knowledge necessary for their future professional activities.

On 24 February 2026, as part of their industrial training, students of the “Fashion Industry” educational programme took a study trip to the“Stela” leather and accessories store. The event was an important part of their practical training and provided an opportunity to get acquainted with the current range of materials used in the production of light industry products.

During the visit, students got to know the range of natural leather types in detail – from classic materials widely used in the manufacture of accessories and haberdashery to exotic options with distinctive textures and special performance characteristics. The future specialists had the opportunity to evaluate the processing features, density, plasticity and wear resistance of the materials, as well as learn about the trends in the modern leather goods market.

An equally important part of the tour was learning about modern accessories. Students examined various fasteners, buckles, buttons, carabiners, chains and other components that determine not only the functionality but also the aesthetics of a product. Special attention was paid to the materials used to manufacture accessories, types of coatings and selection criteria depending on the purpose of the product and the design concept.

The excursion was led by Tymofii Lypyskyi, who focused students' attention on the professional aspects of material selection, the importance of quality control, and the compliance of components with technological requirements.

Tactile contact with materials, analysis of their properties and understanding of market offerings enable students to make informed technological and design decisions. The experience gained will contribute to the high-quality performance of practical tasks, the development of their own products and the formation of competitive specialists capable of working in accordance with the modern requirements of the fashion industry.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the staff of the “Stela” store for their hospitality, openness to cooperation, and the opportunity to familiarise ourselves with a wide range of modern materials and accessories. We look forward to further fruitful cooperation in training future fashion industry professionals!
