SCIENTIFIC DIPLOMACY AND PROJECTS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE Q-HELIX ALLIANCE OF THE KYIV NATIONAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGIES AND DESIGN

During March 19-20 2026, 200 participants from different countries of the world, within the framework of the Q-Helix Alliance partnership under the European Universities Support Program "Scientific Vectors", discussed and presented their reports at the International Conference: "Challenges Migration: Security, Mobility, Labor Market, Integration, Human Rights".

Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has been a full partner of the Q-Helix Alliance of European Universities since 2025, and was represented in offline and online modes by the team of project implementers of the Program.

At the partner university, the Higher School of Business in Dąbrowa Górnicza in the Republic of Poland, the following spokespeople for the platform: “Mobility, Labor Market, Integration”, were Vice-Rector for Research and International Cooperation Liudmyla Hanushchak-Yefimenko, Head of the Department of Marketing Olena Ievseitseva, and Professor of the Department of Marketing Svitlana Bebko.

The Vice-Rector presented the topic “Features of forced migration of youth as a new type of educational loss”.

A joint report on the topic: “Forced migration in wartime: consequences for the labor market” was presented by Olena Ievseitseva and Svitlana Bebko.

A postgraduate student of the department, Ivan Skorokhodov, reported on a practical case study “ONLINE: Skills pipelines amid war-driven internal displacement and cross-border migration: university–industry capability partnerships for value added apparel manufacturing”.

In online mode, project executors under the European Universities Support Program "Scientific Vectors" from various structural subdivisions presented their reports in cooperation with European colleagues.

The scientific international conference became a platform for a synthetic review of research conducted by universities of the Q-Helix partner Alliance from Central Europe (Poland, Slovakia, Portugal, Hungary, Balkan countries, Ukraine), Great Britain, Scandinavian countries (Denmark, Norway, Sweden) and the USA, which demonstrated that the concept of sovereignty and human rights remains not only alive, but also diverse, and is interpreted differently depending on political experience, security context, challenges of migration processes and political practice.
