FROM IDEA TO NETWORK: HOW TO JOIN COST ACTIONS

The Office of International and Project Activities continues its established series of presentations entitled “Grantography”, dedicated to current opportunities for international scientific cooperation and the attraction of grant funding.

On March 26, a hybrid-format training session “Grantography: COST” was held for academic staff, early-career researchers, and doctoral students. During the event, participants were provided with a practical overview of opportunities to join COST Actions - one of the largest European networking programmes supporting the creation and development of research networks, the exchange of expertise, and researcher mobility.

The training was delivered by Natalia Tkalenko, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Professor of the Department of Management at KNUTD.

The event was moderated by Victoria Marhasova, Doctor of Economics, Professor, and Director of the Office of International and Project Activities.

The training covered the nature of COST Actions and the types of activities they support; how researchers and academic staff can join ongoing Actions and in what roles; and the benefits participation offers to both the university and individual researchers, including networking, joint publications, research visits, participation in working groups, training schools, and more.

Practical recommendations were provided on identifying relevant Actions, preparing and structuring a concise professional profile, and other related aspects.

The event brought together engaged academic staff and early-career researchers, who received answers to key questions regarding the application procedures and opportunities for developing international partnerships.

We thank all participants for their active engagement and invite you to follow upcoming events in the “Grantography” series on the page of the Office of International and Project Activities of KNUTD.
