On the 85th anniversary of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design 22-23 October 2015 took place International scientific conference "Advanced Polymer Materials and Technologies"
The conference aims to promote scientific achievements in polymer and chemical fibers processing. Department of Applied Ecology, Technology of Polymers and Chemical Fibers and faculty of Chemical and Biopharmaceutical Technologies provided good platform for experience exchange with representatives of related higher educational institutions of Ukraine, academic institutions, companies, business community, to discuss prospects for development of polymer materials and technologies.

- The conference was held for the participant’s expanses.
- 120 people attended the conference.
- 22 oral and 32 poster presentations were presented.
- The result of the conference was a collective monograph "Advanced polymer materials and technologies", editors Viktoriia Plavan, Viacheslav Barsukov, Natalia Rezanova, Olha Baula, volume 452 pages.
- The conference visited Optical Engineering Company “Optek” representative, distributor of Carl Zeiss optics in Ukraine, and made workshop on microscopy for attendees.
- The Best Poster competition was held. As a result, five certificates were issued including two for KNUTD students.
