The scientists of the Department of Biotechnology, Leather and Fur Prof. Andreeva O.A., PhD. Maystrenko L.A. and PhD student Nikonovа A.V. participated in the 6th International Conference of Advanced Materials and Systems ICAMS 2016, which was held in Bucharest, Romania, October 20-22, 2016.

The conference was held with the support of National Research and Development Institute for Textiles and Leather (INCDTP) Leather and Footwear Research Institute (ICPI) Bucharest, Romania.

The aim of the Conference was to bring together researchers, scientists, engineers, experts and policy makers from all over the world to exchange and share their experiences, new ideas, and research results on important issues related to novel materials and systems in science and leather technology, and to provide a good opportunity for networking for all these groups.

The attendees discussed issues of smart and functional materials and biomaterials, systems and technologies, including new processing methods, and innovative applications. Special attention was given to quality management and competitiveness on the global market and the impact on the environment.
