Between 23-26 October, 2016, representatives of the Department of Design, including head of the department Ovcharek V.Ye., docent Dovzhenko I.B. and student Polivchuk A.S., were at the American University in Central Asia (AUCA), which is located in the capital of the Kyrgyz Republic, Bishkek.
Honorary Doctor of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design, Prof. Hersh Chadha contributed to this visit.
The program of the visiting of representatives of our University in Bishkek was intense and exciting. The ceremony of awarding Prof. Hersh Chadha the title of Honorary Professor of AUCA took place on October 24.
This day were also held talks with the Rector of AUCA, Andrew Vahtelem, in which the Ambassador of Ukraine to Kyrgyzstan Mykola Petrovych Doroshenko was participated. AUCA’s Rector expressed interest in cooperation with KNUTD and outlined possible directions and forms of cooperation.
After the talks in AUCA representatives of Ukrainian university were invited to the Embassy of Ukraine. The offer of the head of the Department of Design to give the best photos of students to organize a photo exhibition was gratefully accepted by Mr. Ambassador. On his part, Mykola Petrovych Doroshenko expressed readiness to help our University in attracting young Kyrgyz people to join KNUTD.
On the second day in AUCA representatives of KNUTD took part in the business program devoted to familiarizing students and academics with the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design. Ovcharek V.Ye., the head of the Department of Design, told about our University, activities of the Department of Design and the role of Prof. Hersh Chadha in the development of specialization "Photovideodesign". Docent of the Department of Design, Dovzhenko I.B. prepared the master-class: "Screen verification: features directing implementation". Anna Polivchuk, the winner of the competition "Hot Ice", presented her favorite photos and video, which is become her "invitation" to Bishkek.
With interest participants perceived photo stories of students of AUCA Talgat Subanaliyeva and Lydia Chikalova, to whom Prof. Hersh Chadha provided the opportunity to visit Antarctica and the Olympic Games in Brazil.
KNUTD’s delegation returned to Kyiv with confidence that Kyrgyzstan became to us closer and more interesting.
