December 2, 2016 students of the specialty of accounting and audit visited International Centre of Modern Art of the XXI century, opened platform for artists, art and society – PinchukArtCentre.
Innovative approach of the ArtCentre is aimed at dynamic combination and creation of the new art-objects, their presentation and collection, combination of national identity and international challenges.
Students became acquainted with the art objects of Christian Boltanski, Berlinde de Bruyckere and Jenny Holzer.
The theme of oblivion in collective memory – the central one in Christian Boltanski’ works of art – pierces all the art objects at the exhibition. Simultaneously Berlinde de Bruyckere and Jenny Holzer question the loss of the sense of humanity under the risk of violent death.
In earlier works of Jenny Holzer, such as “Lustmord Table” (1994), the act of murder becomes the major theme itself. Three latest monumental sculptures of Berlinde de Bruyckere disclose the theme of collective punishment.
Visiting the Modern Art Centre facilitates the feeling of consciousness with the destiny of innocent victims.
