December 26th, 2016 in Kiev National University of Technology and Design held a student project «Warm tree», because yarnbombinh is gaining popularity in Ukraine.
Yarnbombinh assumed graffiti street art created by Martha Sayers. In 2005 she first graced her hand-made shop with knitted covers. The event was to improve the mood of students, university staff and ordinary passers-by before the New Year. Bright fabrics on the trees fill our daily lives in different colors.
With the help of concerned people were gathered fabric, thread and other embellishments that have become components of this street art form. The action was attended by students of the Faculty of Design and Technology, service and fashion. During the preparation of the campaign, students showed creative thought and showed that they are a real team. During the event, students were offered passers-by to join the yarnbombinh and distributed leaflets of Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design.
The deputy dean of Technology, service and fashion faculty Ludmila Melnyk and deputy dean of Design faculty Tatiana Struminsky watched and helped during the process of decorating trees. Student Parliament thanked the university administration for help and support for the action.
