Traditionally Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design has participated in one of the most actual event – 33th International Specialized Exhibition of Shoes, Leather and Furs “LEATHER AND SHOES”. It’s the a 4 day event being held from 24th January to 27th January 2017 at the International Exhibition Center in Kyiv, Ukraine. The trade show is organized by Ukrainian Leather and Shoes Union. This event showcases products like small leather goods, handbags and briefcases, fashionable handbags, footwear, travelware, leather garments, fashion accessories and lifestyle products, impressed participants with its range of products, innovative design ideas etc. in the Leather & Leather Products industry.
The official opening ceremony was attended by the Rector of the Kyiv National University of Technologies and Design Ivan Gryshchenko, representatives from the University administration, faculty and students.
This year, the University has participated in the exhibition in a conceptually new format. We have presented KNUTD in the context of development cooperation with the Ukrainian leading manufacturers. Because now education cannot be separated from society, industry and business.
We’re inviting our regular partners with whom we work closely together as a Cluster of light industry: JSC "CHINBAR" - Viktor Lishchuk, General Director; Ukrainian Association of Light Industry - Izovit Tatyana President; League of shoe manufacturers, leather goods, furs and leather goods, Association of the enterprises of leather industry of Ukraine - Alexander Borodynya, President; Ukrainian Association of Furriers - Larisa Emelyanov, Vice President.
Our University was represented at the exhibition on the different areas of our activity. Pro-rector KNUTD Svetlana Garkavenko has brief on the most notably Innovative Educational Programs such as "Fashion industry" and "Economy of the fashion industry".
Our current research portfolio was presented in the booth of KNUTD, as well as the best student work.
To enhance the cooperation and support of friendly relations rector Ivan Grishchenko visited the booths of University’s partners.
Through that participation, our University is able to expand its partnerships and improve University’s image.
