The goals of the DAAD program include: Creation of virtual courses for students at partner Ukrainian higher education institutions. Ensuring the capability for full-time work for faculty at partner Ukrainian higher education institutions. Expertise for further digitalization of German and Ukrainian higher education institutions involved, and professionalization of digital teaching to develop further (joint) virtual courses. The purpose of the Bridge Ukraine digital project is to provide comprehensive support to Ukrainian faculty to continue teaching at their universities in Ukraine and to establish long-term cooperation with related departments and disciplines at TU Berlin and KNUTD. Support is provided at the subject level but also with a focus on didactics in the context of digital learning. During the first phase of the Bridge Ukraine digital project (June 1, 2022 - December 31, 2022), two scientific-pedagogical staff members from Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies and 16 higher education students from Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies, Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies, and Faculty of Management and Business Design participated. A total of 50 hours of instruction was conducted for the first part of the course "Advanced Mathematics." In the second phase of the Bridge Ukraine digital project (January 1, 2023 - December 31, 2023), two scientific-pedagogical staff members from Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies and 15 higher education students from Institute of Engineering and Information Technologies, Faculty of Mechatronics and Computer Technologies, and Faculty of Management and Business Design are participating. The second part of the "Advanced Mathematics" course was conducted, totaling 62 hours of instruction. All participants engaged in the project receive scholarships from DAAD. These scholarships are intended for the training of specialists and managers for the reconstruction of the country. Additionally, these students receive professional and linguistic support during their studies, as well as expert psychological support to help them succeed academically. The implementation of the project has demonstrated a high interest from the participants in the modern online formats of classes. It has also provided additional opportunities for improving the linguistic and professional competencies of the participants. For the realization of the project, online platforms of KNUTD and TU Berlin are being utilized. |
