The purpose of the scientific club: to identify and support talented students interested in translation studies and translation practice; to develop their skills in self-education, self-development, and analytical thinking; to enhance translation abilities and professional communicative competence; to improve knowledge of translation theory, practice, and intercultural communication; to engage students in research work, professional projects, creative competitions, and training sessions; and to create conditions for the development of translation mastery, creative growth, and successful professional realization. Main tasks: involving students in scientific and practical activities in the field of translation; supporting the acquisition of methods and skills in translation research; providing experience in organizing and participating in projects, discussions, conferences, and seminars on translation studies; developing translation skills and competences; deepening knowledge of translation theory, practice, and related disciplines. Scientific research topics of the student club: translation analysis of literary, journalistic, technical, and audiovisual texts; theory and practice of translation; methods of translation transformations; intercultural communication and the rendering of cultural realia in translation; terminology work and problems of translation adequacy; stylistic and genre-specific features of translation; translation and localization; translation as a type of speech activity; development of translation competences and the use of modern technologies in translation (cat-tools, corpus resources, machine translation)
