The purpose of the activity of the scientific circle: to involve students in research work; create conditions for students' creative growth; improve practical skills in biotechnological, microbiological and chemical laboratories; to form the ability and interest in independent scientific research, the ability to see the problem and find ways to solve it. Main tasks: to ensure a more complete and deeper learning of biotechnology; to develop creative thinking and broaden scientific outlook; to develop the ability to apply the acquired knowledge in scientific research and experimental studies; to teach students to critically evaluate information, analyse it and draw adequate conclusions; to stimulate the generation of new ideas and the search for ways to implement them; to develop skills in organising and conducting independent research; create a scientific biotechnology school within KNUTD to train its own scientific and pedagogical staff. The topic of scientific research of the student group: biotechnology of high molecular weight compounds, preparations based on living microorganisms and their products, new microbial technologies, nanobiotechnology.
