On 24.10.2024, a regular meeting of the student research group «Cross-cultural management and business communication skills in the hospitality industry» of the Department of Tourism, Hotel and Restaurant Business of the Kyiv National University of Technology and Design was held.
The topic of the meeting was effective communication methods and strategies in hotels, restaurants and other hospitality establishments that help create a positive experience for customers, build loyalty and encourage repeat visits. Among others, the meeting covered the topics:
- personalised communication (using a personalised approach to customers through CRM systems);
- multimedia communication (use of social networks; email; messengers);
- visual marketing and atmosphere of the establishment (creating a unique atmosphere through visual design, such as menu design, decor, lighting; use of interactive elements that help to better understand the product and increase the value of the experience for the consumer);
- reputation management (responding to reviews; maintaining reputation on platforms (TripAdvisor, Google Reviews);
introduction of modern technologies and innovative solutions (mobile applications and websites with the possibility of booking, viewing menus or ordering with delivery; chatbots to automate answers to frequently asked questions; digital solutions for feedback (interactive surveys after the visit, QR codes for service evaluation, etc.);
During the meeting, the students also discussed proposals for participation in the start-up competition and discussed topics for conference abstracts.
