On November 6, 2024, a round table of the “Sketching Club” of the Department of Digital Art was held. They discussed the results of the club members’ participation in the international sketch challenge “Inktober-2024”, namely presentation and analysis of techniques, innovations and artistic approaches in sketching. During the meeting, the leaders of the club Svitlana Pashukova and Ulіana Balan, together with the students, analyzed various technical and artistic approaches to sketching.
Founded by Jake Parker in 2009, the Inktober Challenge encouraged artists to join together and draw on a specific theme every day during the month of October. This is a great opportunity for everyone, from beginners to professionals, to improve their skills and develop a regular drawing practice habit. Participants of the sketch challenge create graphic drawings every day for a month and post them on social media, stimulating creative development and forming a community of like-minded people.
The Inktober Challenge develops self-discipline, because drawing every day is a serious challenge. However, this constant activity helps to form a useful habit of regular sketching practice that remains even after the challenge is over. Daily tasks stimulate the imagination and encourage experimentation with new ideas, as well as provide an opportunity to observe the creative approaches of other participants, which expands the range of professional skills of future artists.
We are creating! We are improving! We are winning!
