ACTIVITIES OF THE STUDENT SCIENTIFIC GROUP "POLYMER MATERIALS IN PHARMACY" IN AUGUST-OCTOBER 2024

The work of the student research group POLYMER MATERIALS IN PHARMACY involves bachelors and masters studying in the specialties 161 Chemical technologies and engineering and 226 Pharmacy, industrial pharmacy. According to the work plan in the 2024/25 academic year from August 1 to October 31 under the leadership of the professor of the Department of Industrial Pharmacy О. Ishchenko group meetings were held according to the plan, during which students learned about the main directions of the department's scientific work on the use of polymer materials to improve the dissolution of API, about the role of polymers in human life; got acquainted with polymer materials and their main properties used in pharmacy.

At the meetings of the group, students make their own films and hydrogels for medical use. Peculiarities of working with water-soluble polymers and technologies for obtaining transdermal systems are studied. They conduct research on the properties of materials and, based on the results, prepare to participate in conferences.

During this period, students Anastasia Behdai and Olga Syviyuk took part in the 2nd International Competition of Scientific works for Graduates of Fashion Industry with a work on the topic "Anti-bacterial textile material" and took 2nd place.

Students took part in the International Internet Conference "Modern chemistry of medicines" for the 85th anniversary of the birth of Professor Petro Ovksentiyovich Bezugli (September 25, 2024, Kharkiv) with theses on the topics: Non-woven materials based on nanofibers for wound healing (Iryna Frolova, Anna-Maria Oleksienko); Analgesic hydrogels in dentistry (Serhiy Yashchuk); Textile material with antibacterial properties (Anastasia Behdai, Olga Syviuk).

Masters D. Malkevych, V. Medyanska took part in the 10th scientific and practical conference with international participation Scientific and technical progress and optimization of technological processes of the creation of medicinal products (October 17-18 2024, Ternopil) with theses - Wound dressings based on non-woven materials.
